So I was riding home from work yesterday and wham...felt like I lost my whole rear end. Ended up in the ditch...no harm to me, thank you Lord! Anyways , pushed her home about 3 miles and took the rear wheel off and the inside of the hub broke out. Where the bearings ride is gone..just an open hole. I use a disk brake hub ( bolt the sprocket right to the hub..not the spokes. Thats the side that broke by the way. Ever heard of this happening? What to do now? Thanks for any input !

Well, first of all the pic. is very blurry. Second, I think you need to get a new hub, but more realistically a new wheel.

I have blown out many many many unsealed bike hubs when I was younger. It happens if you don't keep the bearings packed with grease and have the bearings adjusted right. If they get loose they move around and you get a little side to side motion in the rim. That's what eats up and breaks the inner bearing race on hubs.
