Cool. I think you are the first to motorize a DB Vger. My Diamondback Voyager is my main mountain bike (unmotorized). I never thought and engine would fit in there.

Yeah, I had to do a couple mods. I had to chop off the secondary top tube and trim about a 1/4 inch off the rear engine mount to make it fit. Good thing the frame is a real strong aluminum. I used to abuse the bike on the hills and the frame is still in perfect shape. Hindsight being 20/20, I could have bought an offset intake manifold and kept the 2ndary tube intact.

I had read that the second top tube on the Voyager was only for appearance; to make it stand out visually. Here is mine. I added the discs. I may add an electric motor one day.

I really love the Vger frame. One of the selling points for me (I bought it new) was the nice, even fish scale welds. Please post some pics if you get it electrified. Thanks

I was thinking of a frame mounted electric motor, like some of the Cyclone and SickBikeParts kits. SickBikeParts is said to be offering one with more than 24 volts soon. I want the motor to drive the front chain ring.

Did a few things to the ol' v'ger since the last pics: 69cc Dax mill, Puch head, motorcycle-style mirror, ditched the tensioner, and a lot of other stuff I'm forgetting atm.
