I ride it for fun on weekends mostly. Speed, and reliability are most important to me, never considered carrying an extra load really.

Original front, rear, and coaster stops well. some squealing though. tops around 30-35 flat surface, use chat box?

very nice first build. I personalty like the fact that now I see just how much space I should have for my 52 schwinn Im about to start on.

one question though I notice that on the front brace it looks like you have a spacer did you need it or did you just want to place the engine a little different in the frame?

I have a 40 tooth sprocket , do hardly any peddling , go 24 mph up steep inclines -no peddling , top speed of 36 mph , only really peddle to start .

Scott, I used the spacer to keep the carburetor more level, I'm pretty sure it is the only way I could make it work.

Powertool, thank you for that information. I think I will order the 36 tooth try for more top speed. Kansas is pretty flat not too worried about hills.
