This Bike was donate to me by a co-worker after he found out the frame on other bike broke.
Result of front motor that was appeared tight but still managed to vibrate thru.
It was a very tight fit but with an hour or so of dremel work.
Had to widen the mouth of motor mounts.
I took my older motor port matched the intake and exhaust,
cleaned the carbon off the piston and ring.
Removed the cyl base gasket replaced with hi temp silicone.
Sanded the head down a few thousands on glass to keep it flat.
New style Carb for the 66.
I have to say I like the front suspension over the solid.
This is my daily driver and the old bike had close to 3500 miles before the frame went.
But the old motor is running better than every with the jug maintenance and the
slight mods I made thanks to the many that have shared.

Added a few saddle bags to the rear rack. I picked up a set of sanyo camcorder bags, built an aluminum frame inside with hanger to attach them to the rack. I used a soldering iron to punch holes threw the nylon to keep it from tearing at the holes and attached the frame and hangers.
I gave up on the milk crate it was just to hard to swing my leg over.

I like it...functional and yet looks nice. What kind of tire is that. Been trying to find one.
 
Thanks the bags are much better.
The tires are Maxxis hookworms 26X2.5, nice and fat with extra cushioning action.
They grip great on the streets and corner very well, not very good in the mud.

Well, after a year and half of riding daily and
over 5 thousand miles, I had to re-ring my ThatsDax little china girl.
It was hard starting and started loosing power as I once remembered.

I used a brake caliper hone to lightly break the glaze in the jug and
cleaned the carbon off the piston dome with a 3M scotch brite pad.
Replaced the piston pin and small end bearing along with the rings.
Siliconed the base of the jug.
Made a new gasket for the intake, put on a new head gasket.
Put in new spark plug.

I took it out for 15 minute break (seat) in run and
it has that new motor feel and smell once again.

I love these little motors, so easy a C... man can do it.
