Maxxis tires in general

Ive been gifted two nice maxxis tires and was wondering if they would be worth investing in some 29x2.50 inch rims to run them. They are the minion dhf 3c maxx terra (@$60-$80 each).

I ride mainly street... Does anyone have an opinion on these?

Ive read the reviews on bike sites but they seem like they're sort of sucking up so that they get a good deal or something.

I don't know they all say basically the same exact thing like a form letter review.

I kinda like the aggressive profile and height they give the bike.

Maxxis are good tires... The tires you listed are 'down hill' dirt tires... not very good for the street

Maxxis is good. I've been using holy rollers (26x2.4). They work well, very grippy on pavement.

I've never used the minions...yet...
