Here is a 3 inch centrifugal clutch modification I just did ,, these springs are made for a smaller clutch, and are big time blood sweat and tears to get on the 76 mm ( 3" ) but very worth it , because the difference in performance is incredible . The reason I did this is because these springs are very high rpm., and even Hulk Hogan would not be able to open these shoes with his bare hands.
I've done this before , but I stretched the spring too far and had to crimp it down again. On this job I pre stretched the spring just enough so I could fit my pry tools in there, and then put the shoes in a vise to pry it upwards to its anchor hole. These same springs also come in yellow .
