Lightning CDI on stock Dax IV

I have read these are great for high performance set-ups.
Though, I've also read and heard that racers don't use them anyway.

The intention is to set up, and break it in for ultimate reliability.

Will one of these do any good for a stock set up?

I use Lightnings on all my builds. I love them and will never run a stock cdi again myself. Also on the topic that racers don't use them They have not had a chance to yet I'm sure that come spring there are going to be a few racers that will be running them.
