Leaky Gas Cap Fix?

Hello All,

In my recently inherited bike, I've noticed that I have a small leak out of my gas cap. The rubber looks good, so it must not be compressing well. Any quick fixes? Do I have to replace the cap?

Any thoughts?

They all leak if you fill them up too much.
Try a (no kidding, a rubber) toilet gasket.
Or just dont fill it up so much.
The tank is not sealed and needs to vent pressure or vacuum to the atmosphere.
 
I drilled a tiny hole in the top of all my caps and then it vents before the pressure builds up and then sloshing gas leaks by the gasket.
 
I Just replaced the stock gasket with a 1/8 thick rubber piece i had. I cut with an exactoknife. Filled up the tank and rode 20 - 30 kms and no leaks, So i think I'm good to go !!!
