Latest trike & pusher trailer

I had my delta trike up on craigslist to sell and when a guy came over to see it he wanted one like my tadpole instead but also wanted assist on it. The only problem is he wanted to be able to take the extra weight off if he wanted to just ride the trike by itself.

I ended up building him a trike with a pusher trailer. The trailer has a 500w scooter motor and 2 18amp hr batteries on it. It's setup to push the trike about 15 mph max on just the motor.

I did something different this time on the trike too and added a mid gear overdrive onto it. So it basically now has 15 low gears (mountain bike range) and 15 high gears (road bike range)

The trike is a little long as I left him room behind the seat so he could install a regular bike engine later if he wanted to.

Outstanding. I like the way you used the front forks and attached them to the steering. I will have to shamelessly steal that idea. I see you also ike to make your hitches from old front forks. Very ingenious.
 
Here is the simple plan for the forks. That set had a little more space that I normally use but they work well. That is the 9 or 10th trike I've built using that setup and it holds up pretty well. I haven't managed to mess one up yet and I ride all over the place, woods included.

I was looking at your pictures and wondered what the T looking handle on top of the front forks is for?

Also, do you have any pictures of other trikes you have built using this fork setup? I am thinking of using the idea and would like to see how it looks.

The T handles are mounting lights, speedometers, etc...

Almost all the trikes I've built use this setup on the forks. I tried the single sided axle version a couple of times when I first started building them and just didn't like it. The forks add a little weight but they are more convenient and much stronger than most side axle setups.
