kind of a greasy question

I picked up a bout 3 tubes of mpl pl 10 power lift grease at a yard sale , the guy said it came from the railroad an that they used it on practically everything anyone ever heard of this stuff ? I would hate to take my bike all apart an repack all the bearings if this stuff turns out to be crap .
