Kickstarter For Briggs Motors

A little too much flex prompted me to make an aluminum guide that bolts to the backing plate and directs the segment gear onto the freewheel sprocket and keeps it engaged throughout the stroke. Need to add a stop so the kicker won't go past vertical as it wants to jump out of the guide past the bottom of the stroke. Little refinements should make it pretty dependable.

MS, that guide is the bomb....... Should keep things inline and working good, great idea.

I also put a larger flywheel on the engine and it spins more with each kick and starts easier.

The heavier flywheel also helps when taking off from a stop. If you let the clutch out to fast, instead of killing the engine, it tends to just chug away and keep going. I love kinetic energy. Slows the rev a little but I'm not racing.
