Keep my predator 79cc stock?

I just got my engine and since I’m new to this I’m wondering if I should remove the governor and upgrade the carburetor and stuff or if I should keep it the way it is until I know my way around this motor first. I’ve seen a couple videos and tutorials for removing the governor but I’m not sure if I would even need to right now. Once the engine is bolted into the frame and mounting plate can I still remove it if I want to modify it? Anyone who has experience with the predator 79cc know how difficult it is to remove the gov? Thank you :)

Get the setup running stock. Then later install an aluminum flywheel, stiffer valve springs, etc. They can make the engine go from 3600 rpm to 5000 rpm. There's a few threads on both motorized bicycle forums telling how to do these upgrades. You can look them up with either forum's search fearture.

If using for a daily commuter, I advise doing the upgrades. You'll cruise at 3600 rpm but can give a short power burst up to 5000 rpm.

Cruising level ground speed 30 mph max speed 41 mph on 26" wheels.
