Is the Monarch Fork Type 2 needed over the Monarch Fork Type 1 (Bicycle)really.

I am just wonderning if the difference in the two Monarch forks is really that big of a deal to warrent the extra 50 bucks.
I am thinking about getting some Monarchs and do not want to pay what they are askin for the motorized bike version but am wondering if I am going to kick myself for being a tight ass later. Anyone?

Here is a thread from a while ago on RRB http://ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=26659. The manufacturer is now doing the mods, but it shows what the difference is.
