Is it possible to run a 40 chain I sent a friend to get a replacement for my bike and that is what they brought back is there any way to makeit work

well what size are your sprockets? Are they 415? 41? 40? If it is the sprocket that comes with the standard motorized bike kit, it is most likely a 415

Here is a chain size chart that might help. If you are trying to put a 40 chain on a 415 sprocket, I don't think it will fit.

If you're trying to do it for strength, you may be able to run a 420 chain. I think that is what I've got. You may need to clearance the motor a little for 420 though.
