Had a Schwinn three speed bike when I was a kid and it worked fine for a while. It had a small chain that pulled in and out of the hub in order to shift. I got so it would not get engaged and slip causing some real slaps in the crotch. Surely the mechanics have gotten better and not do that. Had to adjust but after a while no work. Do the internal hubs , Nexis, have this problem? I like it better than the derailer. Thanks guys. . gphil
