Ok, got a shift setup. Lets say my clutch grabs at 2200. Now when I shift I must let the r's come down before shifting and applying throttle, easy to catch everything smoothly. Would a modified mt grabbing at 1800 work better.

You would just have to wait longer(at 1800) for the clutch to disengage if you are shifting unloaded. I assume this is the question?

Ooooh..kay, gotja, I was almost talked into buying modified mt with bearings by the mt web site. I'm finding out most of my complaints are my lack of knowledge, not necessarily the products.
