I was recently given one of the 2 stroke bike engines by my buddy and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to find out who manufactured it? It is mounted on a old ten speed and seem to run fine but before I spend the money and mount it on a different bike I would like to find out a little bit more about it.

Can you give some kind of description?
Frame mount or other type of mounting?
Is this an engine that looks like a small motorcycle engine or more like a weedwacker?
Can you post a picture?

I will tell you this much, if it a frame mounted type, it could have been made in any of over 50 factories in China. The only bad part in that is that some parts don't interchange between engines, even though they all look VERY similar.
