How’s it going everyone, took some time off but now building a new boardie.
Here is the inspiration photo.
Picked up a nice lil detail gun at HF and laid down some base and clear for the first time ever not out a rattle can. Turned out pretty nice.
Volvo 096 is the researched matching color for Indian’s royal blue from back in the day.
Nice job you did shooting the paint.
Looks like you used even more cnolmotorsports parts for your build than I did. Am I right?
Should look great when it all comes together.
I am unfamiliar with cnol, what parts are you referring to?
nah, got the frame/tank from somewhere else- much better price.
thank for the compliment on paint!
I was referring to your bike's alloy re-pop straight bar frame, stainless tank, dropped board-tracker bars and seat - all of which feature(d) on cnol's eBay site. I bought my Indian's frame/tank/forks direct from cnol in China. I can see your springer forks are not the same as mine.
As I said earlier, paint looks sharp - but I had to look twice. In the close-up tank pic, the reflection of your wall covering made it look like your tank had a real bad orange peel finish (lol).
Thanks, I made the bars. The forks are the monark II, and the seat was modded by me, but picked up from closeout cycles for i think 15$. And PS GasButt has them for less than 200 for tank and frame delivered- but wouldnt recommend purchasing from them.
yes that pik looks absolutely horrible at first glance, until u realize the wall, lol
Perfect paint...good job. The rest of the bike looks great .
What else if anything are you planning? I have built 2 bikes with that frame and tank and without a layback seat post I'm a tight fit ..
Thanks, actually no lay back post on here, it’s a frame mod only
Also I welded on the oil box which I plan on adding a tap and then filling with 2 stroke oil. For dispensing at the pump.
