I'm really confused...

Sorry to have to post so many questions on here, but this forum is my only source of help and no one that lives in my area is into this hobby. So I'll get to the point. I was out riding Saturday last week, and once again felt what I would describe as a "pop" from the engine. It is still in the break in period and this time running the 16:1 mix. It's not even halfway through the first tank of gas yet and this happened. I've been very careful not to go over 1/2 throttle(only about 20-22MPH) and only been riding around my neighborhood. But after I heard the pop, engine was still running fine. The pop was not followed by a jolt like the last time. I have no clue what's going on. Other than a crank bearing what else can cause a pop from theses engines? Haven't rode it since last Saturday. As per my previous post, last engine I had "popped" and had play in the small gear connected to crank. So that's why I'm pretty sure a crank bearing went out on that engine. Since these motors are so cheap, It was just easier and less headache for me to buy a whole new engine. I've already looked on Amazon, eBay etc. If it comes down to it, I'm willing to pay a bit more for a better quality engine. Could someone possible post a link to a recommended engine or could anyone offer some advice? Thanks!
