Switching from a 26" 1.95" to a smaller 26" 1.25" will for sure make a difference but they won't be as rugged.

less rolling resistance will increase speed. don't expect much, though. depends on what tires.

like, if you were riding some crazy rugged mountain bike tire and switched to some crazy slick road bike tire, you might gain a few mph.

Helium, cuts down on weight. Also, don't uses leaded gas 'cause lead is heavy!
