i recently bought an engine where i can see the choke plate go down when i push it but it stays down and i cant push it back up it just stays down

i recently bought an engine where i can see the choke plate go down when i push it but it stays down and i cant push it back up it just stays down
this is on a bike berry racing stage 3 performance carb

You probably have the kind of carb where you have to twist the throttle wide open (& the choke will automatically spring open)
