How to measure for a custom rear sprocket

What you will need are digital calipers

Inside diameter measurement........45.4 and add 1mm for clearance= 46.4mm

Bolt circle diameter.......70mm +57mm =127mm /2= 63.5mm bolt circle diameter. I made mine 64mm bolt circle diameter and it worked out fine.

Pretty much any set of precision calipers will work, it doesn't have to be digital. I have a set of vernier calipers that serve me just fine.
 
I just realized that this method will only work if the two opposite holes are in a straight line through the center. Hopefully, some one will show how to do it when its an odd number of holes.
