How to clean

So I wish to clean the inside of my cylinder head where the spark plug rests. I KNOW its dirty in there cause I had an exhaust problem from a cheap exhaust gasket. After replacing it I was like...OMG oil no longer leaks from the exhaust connection point...and it was doing that for MILES. I was to clean it, but I want tips before I just...unscrew it and randomly start scrubbing with a rag.

if you don't have a torque wrench, don't mess with it

carb cleaner & rag usually works OK without hurting anything
