Anderson, Sc.
I was brought a new build by someone to help him out with a few things that had him stumped. The bike was dropped off while I was at work and when I woke up I decided to have a look as I was drinking my morning coffee. I saw this and immediately was struck by what I saw. I'm on the fence as to if I should proceed to fix whatever issues there are or leave it and have him get a new bicycle. I don't want to get it operational and have it fail. Especially when I had a hand in making it possible to ride and run. What are your thoughts?

I wonder when he'll discover you can take two of the plastic grilles from two NT carbs, put the foam filter in between each, and mount it.

I'd walk away. If he couldn't figure out how to navigate through a PLASTIC piece by removing metal....yikes

So Cal
Dude butchered the frame, it's UNSAFE junk now, unless ya want to weld a piece of 1/2 pipe over the hole

Tell him he ruined the frame
Help him when he gets a new bike
Explain to him curved intake manifolds are available and he didn't need to cut the frame
