I've just got my monark 2 springer forks and my phantom bikes tank frame.The frame has a 1"1/8 head tube size and the forks are 1" I bought the monark headset reducers but as the frame head tube has a internal taper on both ends I cant see how the reducers will work? Has anyone used this combo?

Measure the 'inside diameter' of your frames steerer tube & post it... I'll try to find a link to the part you need. 
Hi the head tube although designed for 1" 1/8 steerer has a tapered style top n bottom head tube hence the monark headset reducer kit I bought with the forks didn't work . But I seem to of been able to use parts of the tapered headset that came with my frame and parts of the 1" headset that came with the forks and it appears to look as if it will work . I'm going to assemble it this week before I have the frame powdercoated as I want to make sure it fits together .if it doesn't I'll come back to ya with pics
