Hi I'm new here and semi noob to motorized bicycles I've always been mechanical and love these machines well here's the issue Ill start with a list of mods I've done and go from there I have a stock crank stock head banana muffler ngk b5hs and b6hs zeda racing cdi offset intake ported intake and just got the deltorro Sha style carb so my bike is semi new still in what's considered the break in period but before I installed the carb it was better running than now bogged a little on the top end but to be expected when new motor however it's running like bog **** the whole range of throttle now and I'm wondering is it too much gas and can the needle be adjusted like the speed carb thanks for reading all this and any help would be appreciated the guys on Facebook pages for mb are pissy and just wanna brag so I joined this for some real help and answers

No, those don't have needle clips like the NT carbs do. It sounds like you need to jet down. Is it 4 stroking? What size jet are you using? The stock one is #70. Does it idle okay?

It idled perfectly just no power afterwards and the way it was running I've never heard it run like that before I took it off and put my speed carb back on and know it runs better I'm going to save the Sha carb for my zeda

Sounds like you are just running rich, I would try it with a #65 jet and see how that is. Do you have the needle clip on the NT carb set to the leanest setting? Do you have extra jets?

I have the needle clip up one from the middle on the speed carb and no I don't have any jets for the Sha carb it runs ok with the speed carb but it's smooth then rough back and fourth and I deff am upgrading to the zeda motor cuz even tho the current motor is breaking in anything above 20 and it sounds like it's gonna vibrate off the bike lol

When you had the Sha on, are you certain that the connection wasn't leaking? They have a plastic seal that fits into the intake. Did you see any gas or oil around that connection? Also, did you test it without the air filter? Other than that I would say you just need to jet down. Are you at sea level or high altitude? You might have to jet down even with a different engine. If you want to try a different jet you can buy some jets, start high and move down until you dial it in.
