Has there been a change to Locktite

On the back of the removable locktite blue 242 package, it says parts must be sheared with hand tools to separate. I definately don't remember seeing those instructions or having to do that in the past. Has there been a change in formula?

Yes there has been, we just had a Locktite rep in at work and they have reformulated many of their formulas.

I depend on that stuff for many applications.
