It is a Kustom Kruiser Glide Deluxe

I would like to use the tank on it for a gas tank. Welding the bottom will not be a problem, I was going to tack sheet metal and finish it off with JB WELD. I'm looking for a solution for a gas cap though. Also this bike has thicker tubes and I want to know if anyone has mounter a 80cc chineese engin before. I can probably CNC the parts but wondering if there are pre made mounts somewhere. My main concern is maintaining the tank on the bike for a fuel tank, that would be awesome. (^)

I think you'd fit up a bicycle motor in there, but you'll need to measure the open area.

If you can seal that "tank" then you could easily put a filler neck in there somewhere.

I'm curious how much fuel that little tank would actually hold.

Looks like it would be a sweet MB though, that's for sure.

Possible filler cap would be to use a oil plug bung. On my drop down tank the filler cap was 3/4 bolt/cap. I had to fill it using a funnel but it worked fine...no leaks!!

We used to use a product called "Seal All", for repairing gas tanks on snowmobiles. It will seal small pin holes left after mig welding the seams.

J, can't use J.B.Weld to seal up a tank. The constant exposure to gas will cause it to break down and leak. If your thinking to use it like Bondo it will not work. There is some stuff called "Creame" You use it to coat the INside of a tank. Some motorcycle shops have it. Later tramp

I wonder what would happen if you used one of those bladders for water in there, I think they are made of a material that would hold up. It would be interesting to see if it would work, you would have to make sure that there were no sharp edges. HDPE is indestructible and that is what the toss water bottles are made of. Oh well just thinking out loud. Have fun, Dave

A couple of pics of some Honda tanks I have for reference. I like the XR75, orange and the other is a C110 63 vintage 50cc. Sorry about the mess, I have been to the tip a few too many times.

I just looked at the bike. It looks beautiful, what a job. I have heard about those angle plug engines, Ill have to get one to try out. I hate the look of the head though I suspect it has more compression and that is getting it up there. I have one bike with a 30 tooth sprocket it moves along but takes a bit of slipping the clutch to get it off the line. Have fun, Dave
