is anyone running a fire breather top end kit. Wondering if your having inside cylinder chrome issues.seems they smooth hone the cylinder after port work.bad idea it think out the chrome an us going through in places. I put this kit on a pk 80 an it runs great.But. It looks like worm wood on the inside. What else could had caused it.with about 40 miles on motor:-||
 
I recently returned a cylinder to Duane due to what looked like spauling or poor coating.
After seeing this on a new cylinder - I'm now suspicious of any top ends I buy and inspect new engines for it now. These cylinders are not honed in the typical fashion your thinking.

That's exactly it. For no more miles that was on it it should not had had nothing but normal an Im still running 16 to 1. Im gonna e him an see if we can resolve this. Iv had numerous bikes an never had this type problem.just glad i cought it.no particles were in case so maybe Im ok.i got the kit when it was 199 a month r so ago but still i thought i was getting quality but i will say there head works well.
 
If it's a ThatsDax or a JAKES purchase Call him - both these guys will take care of you. Call him. email a pic if possible, but Call him and talk to him.
