Hello everyone. I'm a late 40's guy with 2 kids under 10, here in Dallas Texas.
I've recently become obsessed with building my own moped, after seeing a beautiful vintage Honda Hobbit on the road.
I used to own a 1970 Honda c70/Passport Scooter, but sold it years ago to make room in the shed.
Looking forward to building a gas motorized bike, but I'm unsure which direction to go. I love the simplicity of the golden eagle belt driven motor, but love the looks of the inner frame chain driven kits more. The latter are so cheaply priced, are there any that are decent quality?
Anyone here local near me I'd love to meet you and see your creations in person. Thanks!

Hello from a fellow Texan
I too am chomping at the bit to get a motorized bike project going. I’ve owned motorcycles in the past but my favorite riding was on moped, I had a motobecane and loved the look and design of that bike. I’m thinking of going the 4 stroke route and currently looking for the right bike to get started.
