I've assembled the whole thing and only had a little trouble with aligning the chain, I was able to fix that with a little fine tuning. What I can not figure out for the life of me is why the bike wont run when the lid to the clutch box in on. While the lid and the clutch leaver is off I can roll it around just fine. while the lid and the lever is on It doesnt really make a difference when the clutch is engaged or not, it roles for a couple of inches and then stops and the rear wheel drags. I have tried manually pushing the clutch lever in and rolling it around, but that also does not make a difference, so I believe that I have assembled the clutch correctly, but there is something that I am unaware of that is keeping my bike from working.

Any advise is apprechiated

ok so I followed the advice of some stuff that was on the thread and it moves when the clutch is engaged. but now it also moves freely when the clutch is not engaged, is that normal?

I'm assuming that you removed the small sprocket to install the chain?

If so?, did you remember to put the woodruff key back in?

Or maybe the clutch cable is adjusted too tight?

I install the chain by taking the chain apart, removing the clutch cover, removing the spark plug and using my hand on the clutch plate to turn the motor over and slowly pull the chain around the sprocet. Thats pretty much the way most people do it. If your back tire is locking up that sounds like the chain is getting jammed up inside the clutch cover. This can happen if your chain is to loose. The chain should be pretty tight. Not so tight that it is stiff but with something like a 1/2 inch of play or so. Also the flower nut on the clutch can be touchy just a half a turn can be the difference between a horribly slipping clutch and a clutch that is burning itself up even when the clutch is held in..
