i now have yet another featherlite weedeater motor...i think this one is a 22cc though. and i still am looking for building a friction drive motorbike... been thinking on chain driven, but i know i don't have a welder and plus no bike stores around to get the gears. so any ideas on the friction drive? also any ideas on what to use for a spindle besides a bike peg? i lost the one i had but it wouldnt fit right no ways...

Some weedeater motors you don't even need an extra shaft. I did one without any extra, the motor already had a 3 -4 inch shaft and I just applied it right to the tire. if not any small diameter piping would probably work.
 
well that is the thing with mine the bolt coming out may be under an inch or an inch long i cant even take a socket and put on there and tighten the nut down....thats why i am looking for another spindle idea lol
 
can you get a picture up of the shaft, it would help with coming up with some ideas.
