I discovered motor-assisted bicycles about 2 years ago and I love them.

I've become a commuter cyclist - 8,000 kilometres (5,000 miles) in a bit over 18 months - all on a motor-assisted bike.

I'm also keen to tackle the regs in Australia - motor-assisted bicycles are all but prohibited in Australia. Maximum power assistance on bicycle is 200 watts..ride7a

Welcome to the forum Hybriped!

The oppressing laws are just as active here in the US.

Thats a very elaborate chain tensioner you have there! i like it.

G'day to HybriPed. Lucky dog gets to live in the Honolulu of Australia, well Tasmania is almost like Hawaii with seasons isn't it? :D

Gday all. Thanks for warm welcome.

mechanickid - the chain tensioner is standard but the sprocket isn't. I'll tell you more about that in due course.

I'm interested in your oppressive laws. I thought that motor-assisted bicycles were permitted in US?

Cheers.
