Gas tank leaks more than the one on my truck!

Well my cheap chinese POS tank is pissin' gas. I had rubber wrapped around the frame, never torqued it down that much, but it still decided to leak out and make my day go from FUN to damnit. Just a little angry, now I gotta walk and go pay my bills haha

So, what can I do? I tried JB weld but no good...

I have a few gas tanks from old engines (huh, 1940's American tank that doesn't leak...) or I am tempted to just pull out the grinder and welder and the stockpile of metal and make my own that fits in the frame.

Kind of a question and a rant all in one...

mine did that on my first bike. i drained the tank, grinded all the paint off around the stud, cleaned it with carb cleaner and JB welded it. it worked until i threw the tank away.
