Ran across something you guys may find useful and it's a whole lot cheaper then the Ridley gas cap kit

very similar to the one used on my stretch's tank

They look to be about 3/4" right? Too bad there isn't something available that's closer to 1" - 1 1/2", well other then the pricey MC fill caps.

Doesn't look to be vented either. I think to work you would need to put some sort of vent on the tank.

Go down the site page,there is a 1 1/2" one ,there are 3 choises and one of them seems to attatch to the tank in different ways (slightly higher price)

cheapest one i've found is to rip apart the kit tank. on most of them, the bung is pressed and sandwiched in (some older ones are welded, though.) you can cut and pry it right out, then silver solder it into your fancy new tank.

the cap still blows, though.

I got the steel one, for my mini keg tank. I will report back once I get round to putting it together.

hasn't arrived yet. so not sure on quality yet

they are also available in stainless and aluminum.
