Friction Drive Kubota dynamo works great!

I ordered a 3 wire type rectifier. 2 are AC 1 is B+. The case is grounded.
"Rectifier Regulator Onan 16 17 18 19 20 22 21 23 24 HP". I believe its 20 amp.
I found it on Amazon. Dealer was Caltric. Price was $26.50 with free shipping.
If want the best check out the 2000 Shindengen FH020AA Regulator/Rectifier kit for $119.95. It is a non-shunt type. Yamaha uses these on a number of their motorcycles.
This unit does not shunt excess voltage to ground.

Got 'er done today. Keeps my battery charged for my powerful lights. Works great, very simple. No switch needed except for the lights.
I have it mounted with a spring keeping it engaged, and a locking clutch lever to lock it dis-engaged.
I fitted bronze bushings in the pivot. I need to move the regulator from strapped to the battery, it emits a lot of heat when charging.
