NO ONE will insure a BICYCLE.
(Moped, yes... Scooter yes... Bicycle no)

Just finally got around to registering on this site. I'm a native to ft Collins, and I just built up my first motorized bicycle. Anyone ever organize any rides

Also I would highly recommend brave new wheel. Great guys and a great selection of cheap old bikes and parts

And that's not completely true on insurance. Some companies will insure a bicycle. Its about $85 a year per $1k worth of coverage. My buddy just bought a mukluk ll and looked into it

Like most everyone has already said... just ride safe and obey the rules of the road and you'll be fine. Occasionally we will have a run in with the police, but it's more out of confusion or curiousness. Nothing to be scared of...
