Flip-Flop Hubs and Right and Left side Free Wheel Sprockets

So bin working on a Flip-Flop wheel with a Fixey sprocket on the right side and a 54 tooth sprocket on the right side of the hub. The sprocket has a tooth pitch of 5/8 inch and is ready to accept the 8 mm T8F chain from the pocket bike engine or a small 4 stroke.

At the moment I am leaning towards the 4 stroke after my experience with the Lifan 152f I am blown away by the quietness and low end torque of 4 strokes.

Looking for input from anyone with experience in this type of set-up in a bike.

The engine that I have in mind for the Flip-Flop wheel is the Lifan 139f 2.

  • Full 360° any position operation for usage and storage in any position
  • 4-stroke single cylinder air cooled engine
  • Non-contact transistorized ignition (TCI)
  • 50-state-Canadian sales compliant
  • 35 cc overhead cam engine
  • Eliminates mixing oil and gas
  • 800-Watt - 1000-Watt at 6500 RPM
  • 8.5 to 1-compression ratio
  • 0.1 l oil capacity
  • 0.65 l fuel tank
  • 1.5 horsepower
  • 9 lbs. dry weight
  • Recoil start

Lifan makes good engines

I’ve used many T8F drive gears.
I’ve never broken the chain or damaged the sprockets.

How and where are you going to mount the engine?.

Bin working on modifying a

  • 4-STROKE MOUNT PLATE FOR 49CC, 79CC, 212CC From Gasbike to fit the little on, but it is not easy and not very happy with it so far. so with that said I guess I have only considered center mounting in the V. The Lifan139 has a irregular mounting points.
