I'm starting my first motorized bike project soon. I'm going with a rear wheel friction drive 26 inch mountain bike. The only design decisions I still need to make is what size roller to use, what website to get the kit from, and whether to use a gasoline engine or a propane one. Any advice?

Unfortunately I really have not gotten into friction drives, someone with more experience would be better to answer your questions. Hopefully they will be along soon to offer advice.
