Engine Dies After A Few Seconds, Petrol Leaking From Air Filter

Hi, I have been looking for a solution for days now but not really sure what im looking for so hope someone here can help me :), just bought a 110cc pit bike of a friend but it needs a little work, 1ST.... it only seens to start for all of about 3 seconds and then slowly dies out even when giving it full revs, 2ND.... theres fuel leaking from the air filter. here are some photos so you know what we're dealing with.

Hi, thanks for the reply,where are the floats located and how do i adjust them as i haven't got a clue.

in the second pic @ the bottom of the carb.
the thing that looks like a metal soy sauce bowl.
inside there are your floats. not wasabi.
they float on the gas inside.
when the bowl is filled, the float presses against little pin.
closing off the gas flow into the carb.
make sure the pin moves freely.
never put sashimi into your carb.
make sure the floats still float & not filled w/gas.
you might need to adjust the floats to press harder against the pin.
clean your pallet w/the pickled ginger.
 
Oh that's a shame i was looking forward to eating some sashimi out of that bowl : ), thanks for the help i'll be giving it a go tomorrow and let you know how it turns out, Thanks
