Hey y'all,
If I used one of Jim's motor mounts on this as well as his hub adapter and sprocket gigs.....doable build ?......I think so but what do I know?

Thanks,

I see no reason why not :)
I have heard they are comfy to ride with the crank-forward design ;)

They call that a " flat foot " pedal design......no need to stand up when you stop.....what kinda motor would look best/perform best ?

Thanks,
Salty.shft.

I will let others answer that...I am a little biased laff
my sig announces my preference ;)
flat-footed is comfy,,,that's why I am building the stretch :)

You rock Bill.....may I ask what you're biased towards ?....I've seen your builds here and have been more than impressed....inspired really.....

since last year when I got the EZM, I have never regretted going 4cycle :)
(I was trying to avoid anything that may look like pimping them ;))
I am here to help and be helped...not to sell :)
(although, babysitting for room n board doesn't pay much) laff

Bill,
What's a reasonably priced 4 stroker kit cost ?....I'm barely above poverty level....

Thanks,
Salty.shft.

there are cheaper kits, than the EZM...
but I don't think there are better (I would have bought one of them if I did;))
EZM full kits MSRP is 659.75 + ship, the Q-Matic auto trans is 259.75 + ship
expensive, yes...but american made quality doesn't come cheap

I think they are comparable to good rack-mounts out there in price/quality, I just prefer the ascetics of an in-frame myself

there are new 4cycle kits coming out or just here, I hope some of them are better than the kits up to now (poorly designed gearboxes are the reason Mike n Quenton started EZM)

I truly feel 4cycle is the future, and the better stuff will work it's way to the top :)

I will get down off my high-horse now...sorry if I offended anyone ;)

Thanks Bill.....I reckon I'm going to have to stick with the 2 smokers....no way in **** can I afford a 4 stroker....but I appreciate the advice...

I am eager to see how you like the townie, I know someone who just got one (CL)

Those townies are just begging for motors....it might be a while before I can afford one but I'm going to .

I forgot about that one,,,
thanks for the reminder ;)
Norm does nice work :)

Bill,
Oh yes !....Norm's awesome !....if only I lived 2500 miles closer to you guys perhaps I could have a good build as well....I got almost 3000 miles out of my Shwinn * The Scream * before my freewheel locked up and almost broke my ankle....so it's set aside for now....thus the search for a better bike...

Talk soon,
Salty.shft.
