Never thought I would see this. This kit on Ebay looks like your normal Currie brushed motor chain drive kit, until you see that the motor turns a rag joint sprocket like a gas engine kit.
-Not only is this cheaper than the old kits that required the dual sprocket back wheel, but it allows you to adjust the final drive ratio much easier. Re-gearing my 24v kit required me to find a REVERSE direction freewheel with a different tooth count, and not many were available. There is a considerably bigger variety of tooth counts available for the rag joint sprockets.
-Kit is about $140. A lithium battery pack for it will cost another 200-250 dollars.
