difference in a 4 stroke and 2 stroke motor

    That "only" reason is a valid one......if you feel your car or truck has a fragile useless engine you should swap it out for one of these 2 strokes----then open a business doing conversions for all the others that made the same mistake......you should be rich if you're right

    No when you consider how many vehicles now are 4 stroke. And when most vehicles back then were also 4 stroke.

    You can argue all you want. A two stroke will ALWAYS make more power for any given displacement due to no wasted crankshaft revolutions.
    Every stroke is a power stroke.
    As far as the call ford and chevy comment...
    they are not in business to build and sell the BEST cars, just the MOST cars.
    The EPA killed two strokes, not four strokes being better.
