Wow, it has been FOREVER since I have posted here! Still riding when I can, not much time for it anymore though. ANYWAY...
I have a dellorto SHA 14/12 clone that I had to replace the throttle cable on. (Please note: the picture below is NOT my carb, from a Youtube video for reference.
The holes marked with yellow are screw holes for the top, but I have no idea what the holes marked in red are for. They run down into the bowl and I am curious what purpose they serve? I was working on a minor leak and put the carb back on the bike to see if it was still leaking but did not want to put the top back on until I was sure the issue was resolved. I then saw that fuel was going up through those holes and leaking. So I am just curious what they are for and should gas be coming out of them? Thank you so much for help.
