Custom intake manifold

I got most of the kit put onto the bike, now I am concentrating on getting everything pretty and set up just right.
First problem I ran into was carburetor clearance on the frame with the stock intake manifold.
I saw some extended ones online and decided to attempt at fabricating my own.
Here are some pics so far... Next is some paint and then I will update with some pics of it installed after I get off work tonight.

Kinda funny I saw your post this morning and happened to be making an intake mani for my current 4-stroke build today as well.

I went to supply company got weld pipe fittings. I used a 90 and two 45's.

For those without a welder, you can get a 45Degree copper elbow piece, a strip of aluminum from a can or flashing for a spacer.

Cut to size your aluminum strip and wrap it around the end of your intake pipe, then fit on the copper elbow piece.
Make sure to sand or rough up and coat all mating surfaces and use lots of soldering flux.
Melt in some solder into your joints with a propane torch.

Make sure there are no burrs or solder drips inside the pipe.

And there you go!
