Crack in carberetor

closed shop early yesterday & can't get to forum from home 'puter

answered today

forgot to mention in that post that about one or two minutes without oil in gas will seize it up

Man I've been having problem after problem... One of the nuts that holds my exhaust on fell off, one of the bolts that holds my motor on fell off and my carb is now completely cracked in half.. smh. Now I gotta find somewhere to get this bolt and nut I need, as well as a new carb. Can I get the nut and bolt at any regular hardware store here in Orlando? Also, what kind of carb do I have, I think its an NT carb but I'm not certain...? Are these kind of maintenance issues a common factor with these bikes, like will I have to deal with these kind of issues all the time? It' becoming a headache for me since I'm currently living on the street and don' really have the means to take care of the problems as they arise. Thanks man.

no bicycle ws designed for the vibration of a motor - you will always need to keep things tight and adjusted

a good h/w store should have the metric bolts/nuts you need

I understand. Thank you, Sir. Hey, as my bike has been sitting, awaiting me to fix it, the gas has been sitting in the tank as well. How long is the life of the oil/gas mixture before I need to worry about it damaging my motor When it running it?

that depends a LOT on how gas is made where you are - the more alcohol, the more water will be absorbed from air - other chemicals have diff effects

as a guess, I usually will start to worry after about 3 months (tho I'd at least try to start it before draining tank)

Can anyone tell me what type of carb I have from looking at the pictures I posted on this thread, Please? I believe it's an NT carb but im not for sure. Thanks so much.

hard to tell from pics as fuel line blocks top of slide tube - if there are 2 chinese chars there, then it is chinese clone of NT which is the kind I like
