clutch doesnt work

so a few weeks ago the front mount studs snapped of while i was riding and the motor turned to the left snapping chain. i ordered a new chain and slapped it on and pedaled to a decent speed then drop the clutch and the chain just kept going like the clutch was pulled in.

Sounds like something broke inside causing all that havoc. I would open the clutch cover and take a look. This will tell you more than us just guessing what it might be. Did you fix your front studs?

Check the half moon key under the small front gear on the right side.

Check the drive sprocket on the motor, you probably sheered the woodruff key that binds the sprocket to the clutch shaft....

i did fix the front studs. i found anther post and they said to readjust the clutch cable. now it works. sorry i didn't look for that before the post
