Clearance to plug

My black stallion engine kit also included a aluminum head, when I install aluminum heat and plug bpr6hs the piston made contact just enough to crush the gap out of the plug, head gasket is copper .015 thick. My question is how far should plug be from piston and what’s the best way to achieve said clearance of plug tip to piston. Base jug gasket is stock. Thanks john

Take off the head & post a pic of the plug in the head

I'm guessing the plug is too long?
A easy fix is to add another crush gasket to the spark plug.

Yep... just add a second spark plug gasket & you'll be fine.

thanks for the help, going to pick one up tomorrow, been wanting to try this new head. Do you think I will see any improvement? Will I need to change jetting, I have a #70 in it currently and is running well.
