Chirping engine

My engine is squealing so i checked & greased the 2 gears in the crank case... still doing it. Btw water got into my dang carb & into the engine... pulled the plug & dried it also reassembled the carb... its running but that chirp! Any ideas?

its a chirp when it revs
No i didnt take the head off... just took out the spark plug

Is there any oil (or discoloring) around the head gasket? (it sounds like you have a warped head (& compression leak)

You nailed it bud! My front left head bolt wasnt seating right... i could tell right by that discoloration you said would be there... right at the front left bolt. Thanks alot buddy! Dang I love this hobby!

Looks like that screw post is striped inside the engine... i dont know much, but i do know jb weld can fix anything...

You're best to fix it with a Heli-coil

You are so right...but unfortunately i dont have a helicoil... im going to use the jb weld for now... but brother, i must say... you are a very knowledgeable person! Thank you for your input... its like GOLD! Stay golden!

The JB Weld won't work!!!! Go buy the Heli-coil kit (before you make a huge mess of your engine!)

Also... be sure to only torque the head bolts to 12 ft/lbs
