Changing Engine Sprocket

This is gonna sound silly, but how do you get the engine sprocket off?? My chain jammed the other day and messed up one of the teeth and I've got my brand new sprocket ready to be swapped out... I've removed the nut that I thought held the sprocket in, but now I can't seem to pry it out... is there a secret to getting it off?

You may or may not have gotten a special tool with your kit for that purpose. Other wise you can use a pulley puller.
